MYLES LOFTIN CREATED A SERIES OF PORTRAITS AT GIA LOVE'S "CELEBRATION OF BLACK TRANS WOMEN COOKOUT IN BROOKLYN THIS PAST SUMMER

"As a photographer one of my main goals is to showcase the vast beauty within my community, and with this project I wanted to create images that expressed the appreciation I have for my people. These images are a visual love letter to the individuals who allowed me to take their photo, each one handled with care. It is such a pleasure to be able to make work that fills my heart with joy, and then to be able to share that with the world. I feel so much warmth and happiness when I look at these images, I hope you feel the same."
