MYLES LOFTIN TRAVELS TO SANTO DOMINGO FOR GOOGLE CREATOR LABS SEASON 8
Myles was one of only 29 international artists chosen to participate in this year’s Google Creator Labs, a visual arts incubator in which artists can document personal work based on a social cause. Myles shot all images on the Google Pixel 8 Pro.
“I wanted to shoot a fashion story focused on the brand Tiempo de Zafra after meeting the co-founders, Stephanie and Edgar, earlier this year in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic," says Myles.
"Tiempo de Zafra, which translates to ‘Time of Harvest,’ is an artists’ collective and fashion design workshop that tackles the challenge of eliminating fashion waste. They create garments made of locally sourced unused or discarded fabric and host international workshops to engage the community.”
