PEYTON FULFORD FOR VOGUE ITALIA X GUCCI
Peyton celebrated the beauty of chosen family in a feature for Vogue Italia that showcased the Gucci Cruise 2020 collection. Gathering 19 friends and shooting over the course of four days in her home state of Georgia, she captured spontaneous moments of happiness and fun in scenarios that ranged from parties, windy evenings on mountaintops, and leaf battles to walks by the river.
The images are accompanied by an interview with Peyton, in which she explains, “The essential thing for a photograph to be successful, for me, is that it captures that unexpected moment, that authentic emotion that arises from the interaction between human beings. Doing it with my old friends, with those who I unequivocally consider 'family', was completely natural. I've always wanted my photography to have a purpose, to be a kind of 'propaganda for change'. It is important for me to continue working here, in Georgia, where my work can also have an impact on the people close to me. I want to take viewers by surprise, provoke new, unknown emotions in them."
