Klaus Thymann

Klaus Thymann is an internationally recognized photographer and filmmaker whose cutting edge work is equally comfortable in the most intimate environment to the largest scale commercial productions. He began shooting professionally in 1992, and in 1996 he was the youngest ever to win the Kodak Gold Award. Throughout his career he has created global campaigns for clients like Levi’s, Lenovo, Umbro, and Nike, resulting in D&AD, Cannes Lion, Clio and many other awards.  His visionary images can be seen in i-D, The New York Times, and other prestigious publications, and he has been featured on the BBC, CNN and in the British Journal of Photography.

Thymann’s most recent project is Project Pressure, documenting the world’s retreating glaciers from every relevant continent on the planet. It is now set up as a not-for-profit organization with official collaborations with the World Glacier Monitoring Service, NASA, and UNESCO.
