CHRISTAAN FELBER - INSIDE ATTICA CORRECTIONAL - ESQUIRE

Christaan Felber traveled to Sing Sing prison to photograph prisoner-journalist John J. Lennon for Esquire. Lennon, who is currently serving 28 years to life, reports on the broken mental health care system in Attica Correctional Facility and the prison system at large. Lennon writes, "Ten out of every eleven psychiatric patients housed by the government are behind bars. Jails and prisons have become our de facto asylums."
