JESSICA PETTWAY DIRECTS HILARIOUS BOLOGNA-MASK SPOT FOR OSCAR MAYER, WITH JON GOURLAY AS DP

Nothing says self-care like a nice slice of bologna, right? That’s the premise of Oscar Mayer’s new commercial, which touts a bologna-style face mask. The visually tasty spot was directed by Jessica Pettway, with cinematographer Jon Gourlay DPing. 

Melusi Mhlungu, creative director at Johannes Leonardo, told Ad Age they chose Jessica because she “has a knack for spicing up straightforward shoots with super bright, colorful and cheeky” work. “This is exactly what we were looking for.” 

The campaign was a hit right out of the wrapper, garnering lots of press from outlets ranging from Today, People, USA Today, Crain's, to Food & Wine. And the mask, for which Oscar Mayer teamed up with Korean beauty brand Seoul Mamas, swiftly sold out.
