UBER COMMISSIONS RJ SHAUGHNESSY TO SHOOT MASSIVE BRAND LIBRARY
One of RJ Shaughnessy’s strengths is capturing imagery that feels like real life—honest, in the moment, and human. Which is why Uber recently commissioned him to shoot two image libraries, one that describes the Uber brand experience and another that shows how seamlessly Uber Eats fits into our lives.
The briefs called for a journalistic, editorial style of photography, the warm, inviting look and feel of natural light, a diverse cast, and varied locations. The client wanted the photos to express—organically—that Uber and Uber Eats transcend language and ethnic boundaries. And, of course, the images needed to signal to the brand, both through color and, sometimes, product placement.
