LUCAS GARRIDO CAPTURES VIVID LIFESTYLE VIGNETTES FOR AMAZON PRIME BRAND LIBRARY

What does the Amazon Prime lifestyle look like on a daily basis? Lucas Garrido answers this question with vibrant vignettes teeming with energy and brimming with genuine emotion, all while representing Amazon’s broad consumer base. “It’s amazing finding the spark and beauty in ordinary situations,” says Lucas.

Amazon commissioned Lucas to shoot an image library for Prime that covered all their departments, from music, video, rX, and food delivery to games. “The creative team at Amazon came to me with a specific storyboard of the key visuals they needed, which was very helpful in developing the core of the campaign,” Lucas explains. “But we also wanted to cover much more—we wanted to capture all the candid and genuine moments that would happen around it.”

Working with a second shooter in order to achieve maximum abundance, Lucas shot the library over a three-day period in Southern California. “We used only natural light,” he says, “using mirrors and bouncing the light to nail it.”

Shooting three key visuals in different locations every day was no easy feat. “But thankfully, I had a very strong production team (F32 Productions), and they held everything together.”
