Nike’s 'Made for the Moment' campaign stars footballers Denya Castellanos, Lauren James, Naomi Girma, Patricia Guijarro, Salma Paralluelo, and Sophia Smith. Marcus shot half of the athletes in Austin and half in Barcelona. “Due to some production logistics, we couldn’t build a practical set in Austin, which was the first city,” Marcus explains. “We lit the images in a way that mimicked light from a hypothetical giant screen. Once we were in Barcelona, we built the set with 20-foot-tall LED screens. I shot plates so that everything worked together seamlessly for the full campaign. It was a pretty wild set of issues to work through, but we did it! Definitely a highlight of 2024.”

Nike creatives drew inspiration from Marcus’ personal project “Performance Art.”
