"As a marginalized individual and an artist, sometimes we tend to be pigeonholed into creating work that only speaks to the negative parts of our lived experience,” says Myles. “With my thesis project, I was making images of mundane, everyday life moments between queer people. A big part of my process is allowing space for the sitter to show up."
