BRAD TORCHIA'S MIXED-MEDIA COLLAGES

“As part of a daily creative practice, I push myself to experiment with various approaches and mediums,” says Brad. “There's less of a goal here, and more of a focus on letting creativity flow. I find that in this work, even when I am painting or drawing, the camera plays a big role. Often, I will create things that I find only exist in a final state as a photograph. I've been working with collage a lot lately and love the process of moving my own images around, finding new meaning, and new emotional weight from often very simple places. It's all very much aligned with my vision and the deeper I go into it, the more I see how all the work I make is coming from the same place.”
