“'Drive-Bys' explores the Los Angeles that exists between the freeway exits,” says Jonpaul. “In a city defined by transit, I find beauty in the slow crawl of back roads and the rhythm of the stoplight. Using a long lens from the driver’s seat, I document the city’s diverse layers without disturbing them. A paparazzo of the cityscape capturing the mysterious, fleeting signs of life that define LA.”
