Christaan Felber's photographs exemplify that classic motto “Be here now.” From boxers to rockers, athletes to economists, sex-perts to street scenes, he captures the full range of contemporary culture with immediacy, humanity, and a seemingly off-the-cuff style. No wonder, then, that his work speaks to such a wide range of clients, including Apple, Puma, Nike, Bose, Google, Samsung, The North Face, WW, Park MGM, Dick's Sporting Goods, Crown Royal, Marlboro, The New Yorker, Rolling Stone, ESPN, Time, Esquire, and The New York Times Magazine. Christaan has been selected for both American Photography 33 and 32 and was named one of the top 30 emerging photographers to watch by Photo District News. He has also self-published books and zines, including Boxeo Clasico, which was selected as one of the best fine-art books of the year by American Photography magazine. In 2020, he completed his first short film, the award-winning From Heaven Is Cali, an exuberant exploration of the grit and glamour of the salsa-dancing scene in Cali, Colombia.
