JAKE STANGEL TAKES A RIDE AROUND CALIFORNIA FOR SPECIALIZED GLOBE

To say that Jake stands behind the products he shoots is an understatement. He explains, “I was really psyched to get to preview and shoot these bicycles. The Globe Haul ST is Specialized's answer to a car, a clapback to ‘I need to drive because it won't fit on my bike’ or ‘I can’t carry everything I need’ or ‘I prefer sitting in traffic because I need to drop off this one box at FedEx.’ Bikes (and public transit) in cities are the future; get out of your car, ditch the traffic, and haul all your stuff.”

Jake photographed the artists of Local Color, a San Jose, California-based mural arts nonprofit using the bikes in their day-to-day lives. He also spent the day with Holly Samuelson of San Francisco's local clothing store Gravel & Gold.
