BRAND COLLAB: MYLES LOFTIN x NEW YORK CITY FOOTBALL CLUB

Myles talks about the inspiration behind his photo that adorns NYCFC’s limited edition Pride Celebration scarf. The photo is from his personal series “In the Life,” which was “my attempt to show a representation of everyday queer life, specifically Black queer life,” Myles says. 

He continues, “I feel like, in the arena of sports, there aren’t a lot of opportunities or exposure for queer people and queer artists, so this collaboration is a great opportunity to show my work to people who may not have seen something like it before.”

The video quickly gained 33k views on Instagram, where one person commented, “Love this for you and the queer community.” All proceeds from the scarf will support Athlete Ally, an organization dedicated to dismantling oppressive systems in sports that isolate, exclude, and endanger LGBTQIA+ individuals.
