BRAD TORCHIA ROAD TRIPS THROUGH THE SOUTH

“Over the course of three days, I slowly meandered along old highways and scenic routes across southern Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama, spending 16 hours behind the wheel,” says Brad.

“The windows were down, and the music was good. I stopped frequently to see what there was to see—which oftentimes was not much. I had a great conversation in a cafe with an older woman who recently lost her husband, and a shrimp boat captain in the docks. I enjoyed just seeing the shades of early summer and letting my mind soak up the space.

Seems like we’d do good to spend more time traveling without an agenda, meeting people who we wouldn’t normally, and seeing things we haven’t already."
